    Stephanie froze, letting the fire snake twist and turn around her, the heat from it’s coils making her want to flinch. Damn John for talking her into going up on stage at the magic show! She could already smell her hair singeing!

    The snake turned and looked at her, a gleam in it’s beady eye, hissing loudly. She hoped it was just annoyed by the smell of burnt hair.

    She really hoped so.
